Sky Valley Resorts Location
Palm Springs is nested at the foot of the 11,000 foot San Jacinto mountains with its nearby cousin, the San Gorgonio mountains resting comfortably beside it. Thermal updrafts, a result of the two mountain ranges significant height, limit precipitation which gives Palm Springs its famed warm, dry climate, with 350 days of sunshine and between 2 and 10 inches of rain annually.
Temperatures average in the 80s most of the year with nights in the low-to-mid 50s making Palm Springs an ideal place to live for most of the year. In the summer months, the daytime temperature rises above 100 degrees, and it is not uncommon to see temperatures even higher. If you are thinking of spending the entire year here, don't sweat it! In general, the dryness of the desert heat makes it bearable.
Almost all find the summer mornings and evenings very pleasant.
